You can make incredibly juicy, tender boneless pork chops with a crispy exterior using just your air fryer. This simple, no-breading method is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or avocado oil spray

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops completely dry using paper towels. This step helps create a crisp exterior.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme to create your seasoning blend.
  3. Rub the olive oil lightly over both sides of the pork chops, or spray them with cooking spray.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning blend evenly over all surfaces of the pork chops, pressing gently so the spices adhere.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the seasoned pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes.
  8. Flip the pork chops and continue to cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Use an instant-read thermometer for accuracy.
  9. Remove the pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For bone-in pork chops, you may need to add 2 to 4 minutes to the total cooking time.
  • Check the internal temperature at the 10-minute mark to gauge how much longer they need. Resting time is crucial for maximum juiciness.
  • If you prefer a slight crust, you can lightly dust the oiled chops with a teaspoon of flour before seasoning.
