You can make this incredibly simple Chili Cheese Dip using only three ingredients. It is a warm, melty appetizer perfect for game day, parties, or any time you need a quick, satisfying snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chili (no beans recommended, like Hormel brand)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and the chili. Mix them together until they are fully combined and smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese and chili mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the mixture.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and the cheese on top is fully melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks for dipping.

Notes

  • For a slow cooker dip, combine all ingredients in a small crockpot. Cook on low for 2 hours or on high for 1 hour, stirring halfway through.
  • If you prefer a spicier dip, use a hot variety of chili or add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the mixture before baking.
  • This recipe is a great base. You can add 1/2 cup of diced green chiles or a splash of hot sauce for extra flavor.
