You can make these simple, melt-in-your-mouth sugar cookie truffles using only four ingredients. This no-bake dessert comes together fast and is perfect for parties or quick sweet treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 ounce) package store-bought soft sugar cookies (like Lofthouse style)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)

Instructions

  1. Place the sugar cookies into a large bowl or food processor. Crush the cookies until they form fine crumbs. If using a food processor, pulse until fine. If doing it by hand, place cookies in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese to the cookie crumbs. Mix by hand or with a paddle attachment on low speed until the mixture is completely combined and forms a thick dough.
  3. Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the cookie balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This step helps them firm up before dipping.
  5. Melt the white chocolate wafers according to package directions. If using coconut oil, stir it into the melted chocolate for a thinner consistency.
  6. Dip each chilled cookie ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Use a fork or a dipping tool to lift the truffle out, letting excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
  7. Place the coated truffles back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Immediately top the wet chocolate with festive sprinkles, if desired.
  9. Return the finished sugar cookie truffles to the refrigerator until the chocolate coating is completely set, about 15 to 20 minutes.

Notes

  • If you use store-bought frosted cookies, scrape off the frosting before crushing them.
  • For a different flavor, substitute milk or dark chocolate for the white chocolate coating.
  • Store these homemade candy gifts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
