Make a quick and delicious fruit pizza using store-bought sugar cookie dough for the base and a simple cream cheese frosting. This recipe is perfect for an easy dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (16.5 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 cups mixed fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, mandarin oranges recommended)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the sugar cookie dough package instructions.
  2. Press the refrigerated dough evenly into a 12-inch pizza pan or a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake the cookie crust according to the package directions until lightly golden brown. Let the cookie cool completely on the pan.
  4. While the crust cools, prepare the frosting. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Beat until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
  6. Spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the cooled sugar cookie crust.
  7. Arrange your mixed fresh fruit decoratively over the frosting. Slice and serve this easy fruit dessert immediately.

Notes

  • For a mini fruit pizza option, use pre-made sugar cookie dough portions and bake them individually. Frost and top once cooled.
  • To make the fruit topping shine, you can lightly brush the fruit with a thin layer of thinned apricot jam after arranging it on the frosting.
  • If you want a thicker frosting for your cream cheese fruit pizza, reduce the milk to 2 tablespoons.
